James is Customers Really Matter’s founder and Managing Director and is the driving force behind the company’s
growth within the CRM, Email Marketing and Software as a Service (SaaS) sector. James started CRM in the summer of
2005 after researching the on demand marketplace and spotting a requirement for hosted CRM and communication systems
within the SME sector.
James has worked to develop the company’s InTouch platform to be simple to use yet hugely powerful. James’s vision of bringing together a CRM and contact management system together with Email and SMS marketing systems to allow SME organisations to bring customers back to them is a model which is both innovative and cost effective.
James has also provided consultancy to a range of large organisations within the UK, notably the Department of Health, Strategic Health Authority’s, Department of Trade and Industry and Department of Sport and Culture. James has spoken at a number of events around the need for customer engagement and reduced administration through web based applications.
Prior to setting up CRM, James was International Marketing Director at Allied Telesyn, one of the world’s leading computer networking organisations. James also headed up 3Com’s European Channel Marketing organisation and has extensive experience within the Sales, Marketing and Customer service environments. James is a Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and has a Bsc Honours Degree in Business Information Management Systems from Plymouth University.
In addition to his role with CRM, James has recently been appointed as the Non Executive Director of North Somerset Primary Care Trust with the PCT keen to use James’s marketing and customer service skills within their plan to deliver better healthcare in North Somerset. James also sits on the board of the Swansea City Supporters Trust, a community based organisation who own 17% of Swansea City Football Club and represent thousands of fans in ensuring professional football in Swansea engages within the local community.
Outside of work, James is an avid Swansea fan and also enjoys golf and other sports as well as current affairs and documentaries.
